The Smiling Stranger
Take a journey through sound and space with The Smiling Stranger. Their psychedelic show, Ballad of the Creatures from the Sky, is a Cosmic Western that tells the story of a modern free spirit caught up in the wild west of technology who comes in contact with supernatural visitors who remind him of his purpose and the power of living in the moment.
The Smiling Stranger is promoting this set of songs ahead of a unique multiverse album release -- each time the digital album is listened to & viewed, the sound and visuals change interactively. They use this as a way to convey how the archetypical myth of the nameless wanderer has manifested throughout the human psyche across time and cultures and is within each of us. The multiverse will continue to expand and grow with versions from other artists and friends over time!
Multiverse
Chadwick Jones, the face behind the name, wrote the songs & recorded the instruments himself while traveling the deserts and forests of the American West in his RV and utility trailer converted into an acoustic-treated recording studio. The scenes and events are fantastical, but loosely based on his experience leaving Seattle and big tech behind to live on the road. He is grateful to have captured some of the wild energy of Oregon, California, Arizona, Texas and places in between where he recorded extensively.

Live Performance
The Smiling Stranger has recently started sharing their music with audiences, and they're excited to play any venue size or situation. They have performed at the Descend on Bend festival, a few pop-up shows at campsites and in backyards, and at several bars and casual venues.
Currently, the show consists of Chadwick playing guitar and an array of instruments along with a backing track that he recorded himself. His goal is to make enough from shows to be able to put together a live band to further bring the songs to life on-stage -- so anything you do to book or promote the act is a huge help to make that dream a reality! Thank you!
